Studio Rental Space

Stuck in the Mud Pottery provides students the equipment, shared studio space and resources to successfully create individual work in their bright and airy studio.

Only artists who have  education in ceramics will be allowed to rent the facilities. Others who have become proficient in using the equipment at Stuck in the Mud Pottery through taking workshops and/or classes will also be considered for eligibility to rent the ceramic studio.

Rental Use Policy

This is a shared studio space and rental agreement includes use of all studio equipment, your own Shimpo VL Lite wheel, a set of shelves, and kiln firings.

On site equipment includes:
Slab Roller
Electric Cone 6 Kiln
Large Work Tables

* Materials are not included. All material must receive prior approval.

* The artist must take all material, waste and product with them after the lease expires.

* If the space is in need of any clean-up, disposal or repair of any material, then an additional charge will be sent to the artist.

* All must read and sign the general studio policy agreement as well as the ceramic studio policy agreement.

* The artist must keep their work space, work and all materials in a neat manner.

* The artist must recycle their own clay and keep their material separate from Stuck in the Mud Pottery materials.

* Any negligent damage done to the kiln shelves or kiln (over glaze, explosions or improper loading) the artist will be held responsible and will have to fix or pay for the damage.

* A kiln-firing calendar will be established. Firing for enrolled and paid student work will always take precedent over professional and personal kiln use.

* Studio rental is $200/month with 24 hours access and a 6 month lease.

Possible extras include:
– Classroom space if you’d like to teach a course.
– Retail area to sell artwork

Event Rental Space

Stuck in the Mud Pottery also serves as a community gathering space for creative workshops and events. Keep an eye on our event calendar for regular happenings, and contact us if you’d like to use our space for your next event (free of charge for non-profit organizations and charity events).
